Calling to Allah
It is not showing off to do a good deed openly to teach people what is right or set a good example.
Our minds have been conditioned to connect religiousness & outward appearances; to judge a person's beliefs by what that person looks like.
A'ishah tells us: "If the first thing to be revealed was: "Do not drink wine," they would have said: "We will never give up wine."
If we consider the qualities of Prophet Muhammad that his wife Khadîjah mentioned, we notice that they all relate in some way to helping others.
